DFW Airport barista quite pleased at the length of the line Monday morning

DALLAS, TX — Sidney Jefferson, lead barista at the Dallas-Forth Worth Airport Starbucks, was observed admiring her team’s handiwork last Monday as the length of the line stretched for several hundred feet. “We might just have the record,” Jefferson was overheard remarking to the other employee working the busy coffee shop this Monday. The 28-year-old Jefferson is the lead barista at the Dallas-Forth Worth Airport Starbucks and her team consists of a total of 2 other employees working the completely slammed Starbucks at DFW Airport. As roughly 125 or so passengers and a few flight crew shuffled along in the slow-moving line, Jefferson made the call to send one of her team on break. It was this decision that ultimately proved to be what was needed to set a new record for line length. With only one person working the cash register the line quickly added another 40 feet or so, stretching almost to the TSA security checkpoint. This kind of thinking is what Jefferson is known for and why the Starbucks location remains one of the most frustrating coffee shops in the Seattle coffee brewer’s extensive network — something Jeffers wears as a badge of honor. As gads of passengers started to peel off the line, utterly despondent at the thought of not getting a much-needed cup of joe before their flight, Jefferson was seen folding her arms and letting a tiny smile sneak across her face — ever so briefly.
